Step 1: Find Clarity
If you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed when it comes to talking, sharing or growing your business we highly recommend going on a little journey of business self-discovery. By embarking on this journey you will resolve your doubt and gain a true understanding of how you want your business to be perceived - in this lies the key!
So grab a pen and paper (or what ever works for you) and taking some time to answer these all important questions;
Do I believe whole heartedly in my product/service I am offering?
How can I make adjustments to feel more inspired about my business?
Who am I serving? And how does my product/service add value to their lives?
What is my mission?
What are my values? What type of friend do I want my brand to be?
Do my values align to my business?
What excites me most about owning my own business?
How regularly do I communicate with my audience?
What systems do I have in place that help me communicate routinely with ease?
What characteristics appeal to my audience?
What is important to your audience, learning, convenance, exclusivity? Describe your audience in as much detail as possible. What do they care about? What music do they listen to? What groups do they identify with?
Do my brand visuals align with my businesses voice and purpose?
Remember a picture can say a thousand words, your brand visuals do the same.

Step 2: Set Up Systems
By setting up a clear systems that work for you and your business, you will not only eliminate self doubt, you will make sharing, talking and growing your business routine!
One example of this is a brand style guide (aka brand guidelines), by creating a brand style guide you will systematically put processes in place that will make sharing about your business a heck of a lot easier.
So what should you include in your style guide?
In depth overview of who your business serves
What graphics represent your brand (logo, patterns, illustrations?)
List the typefaces you will consistently use across all branded materials. We generally suggest picking 2-3.
A color scheme that will be iconic of your brand and the color codes for each. (CMYK, RGB, HEX and Pantone if you choose)
Photographic direction, do you use full color images at low angles, black and white images with abstract subject matters?
What do your social media posts look like? It’s a good idea to set up a template to make sure things remain consistent no matter who is posting on your behalf.

Step 3: Take Action
Showing up for your audience consistently and repeatedly is crucial. Reminding people of what you do and how you can add value to their lives is what it’s all about. Taking action around this will help you grow your business and connect with your true fans.
