A Day in Beacon, NY

When my husband and I first moved upstate we lived in Newburgh, NY and we'd often drive to Long Dock Park to walk our pup Major Tom. The Long Dock Park Trail connects all the way around to Beacon Wetland Preserve & Wildlife Sanctuary via Dennings Point and Madam Brett Park all of which offer stunning waterfront views.

From there we'd grab a coffee and bite to eat or the occasional sweet treat. Below is a list of my favorite things in the area for next time you're looking for some ideas.

My biggest tip of all is to visit during the week if you can. Weekends parking can be a nightmare, especially during the fall.
